Mallorca's international airport, Son Sant Joan Airport lies 8km east of Palma. In recent years, Mallorca has become such a popular destination that most airlines now fly directly to the island. The cheapest flights tend to be from Barcelona and Valencia and it is likely that you will be able to zero in on good deals during the low season which is between October and February.

Airport Transit
From the airport, bus no. 1 takes you to Placa Espanya, the center of Palma. Hours of operation are from 5:30am to 2:15pm daily and the cos for a one way trip is 1.80€. A metered cab will cost you approximately 20€ for a 20 minute drive into Palma's city center.
