Below is a list of accomodation options that we highly recommend broken down by the city or town you are planning to spend the night at during your stay on the island.

Several of Mallorca's former monasteries rent out old monks' and pilgrims' cells to travellers. You may not get a shower but you will find peace, a sense of history and unforgettable hilltop views. The best known, at Lluc, is now virtually a hotel; for real solitude, head instead for the Ermita de Bonany, Puig de Maria or the Santuari de Montesio at Porreres.
Many of Mallorca's fincas (country estates) have recently been converted into upmarket tourist accommodation, combining character (antiques and log fires) with modern amenities like swimming pools. You can get information on fincas from the Associacio Agroturisme Balear, Carrer Foners 8. Palma 971770336.
